The theme of the fifth episode of Tomo-chan Is a Girl! was visiting friends' homes. Also, mothers of girls look like older versions. Carol, Misuzu, and Tomo-chan's moms all appeared to be exact duplicates. Misuzu's mom, who has known Tomo-chan's mother since high school, mistook Tomo-chan for Akemi. When Akemi heard her daughter would have a sleepover with Jun, she thought it was finally time to think of grandchildren's names. Tomo-chan didn't understand what she was talking about until she was naked in Jun's bathroom. Those childhood friends had an awkward night's sleep.
