Lum's mom competed with Mendou's mother for attention. Unintentionally, of course. Mrs. Mendou did not appreciate how much her son liked the alien woman!
Lum needed to take a week off from Earth to renew her passport. She came back in time to enjoy the red maple leaves of fall.
