Lum continues interfering in Ataru's life by following him to school and snuggling him in class. Ataru asked Cherry, the monk, how to stop her. The monk offered ribbons that act as insulators to an oni's electric powers. Lum liked Ataru's first gift to her, but she immediately felt heavy and couldn't fly. That didn't stop her from overpowering Ataru with wrestling moves.
