Alexia is a swordfighter in the shadow of her older sister Iris. They are both princesses of the Midgar Kingdom. Alexia's fiance teaches a competing school of sword fighting, so the two sisters have another source of tension.
Cid's friends played a penalty game for whoever scored the lowest on an exam. Cid's Shadow Garden left his mansion to root out the imaginary Diabolos Cult. Cid is still trying to hide his power, so he attempts to play the most average background character at his prestigious private school. The penalty was to make a love confession to Princess Alexia. He didn't expect her to agree to become his girlfriend! She has reasons to play up their relationship in public.
Beta is the second Shadow Garden girl to provocatively pose in the end card.
