The theme of the 'Love Live!' episode was the belief you were not cut out for the job before you even tried. The girls of 'Liella!' thought Kanon was the School Idol Club president all this time, but that was news to Kanon. Kanon might be perfect as an idol unit leader, but not for a school club. Mei was a superfan of school idols, but she might not be idol material. Shiki wanted her friend to try it out before dismissing the idea.
After outing Mei as a school idol fan, Shiki tried persuading her in several ways. The hardest sell came from celebrity Kanon herself! During this time, Chisato decided she wanted to be the School Idol Club president. She might not be cut out for it, but she wanted to try first.
Shiki only wanted to push her friend in the direction that felt correct, but then we learned Shiki also wanted to be a school idol. Mei and Shiki had been friends for a long time, with Mei following Shiki's interest in science. But when Mei had a chance to belong to a place that matched her interests, Shiki wanted the best for her friend. It wouldn't be the same without Shiki, so Mei convinced Shiki to join the club. Shiki might not be suited for a school idol, but she should try it first. The new members of 'Liella!" managed the "Song for All!" cheer well enough. There is one more member to recruit. Can Natsumi make money and be a school idol at the same time?
Shiki and Mei show off their interests in the end card this week.
