Mary's story of Kakegurui before Yumeko transferred into the school has a lighter tone. That's thanks to Mary's childhood friend Tsuzura. The yuri notes are more potent too.
Mary's second order of business on the first week of school was to own a gambling den. Her first order was gambling with Tsuzura's bully to make her stop. Mary went to the literature club to take it over, but gambling chaos broke out. Sachiko and her pet Mikura organized a wager for Mary to win over Yukimi, the literature club president. Gambling games are never straightforward at Hyakkaou Academy. The kids are just as perverted here in the prequel as in the main show.
Mary figured out Mikura cheated the game so she could cheat her back in the second round. That impressed Sachiko. The student council vice president has a new target for taming. Tsuzura was happy to have a yuri den of lovemaking, ahem, gambling den to share with Mary.
The end credits give the characters of Kakegurui Twin pastel colors and sharp lines on their features. I'm glad to see old favorites from the main show will be here to clash with Mary.
