Nia was an established manga artist, so it was ludicrous to think amateur artists could outsell her at a doujin market. But Nia didn't have an army of bunny girls to attract horny lads' attention! The effort convinced Nia to read Shido's book. The doujin told the true story of how Shido won the hearts of all his spirit girlfriends.
Predictably, the bad guys came to recapture Nia. In a twist, they didn't want Nia, but rather, they wanted a black version of her spiritual core. That was a setback for the good guys, but Shido did save Nia's life and sealed her spiritual power.
