Kawai joined her first search party with the police. But she wondered why her colleagues looked so stressed out. She thought following the police dog would be a fun hike through the mountains. Wrong! Chasing Dog-sama through the woods in rough terrain is a death march! Fuji happily heard the search parties found their missing person. The police were lost in the woods, but the dog found them. Dog-sama did its job!
Fuji and Minamoto appeared quite gungho to handle traffic duties for a marathon. Kawai didn't like the idea of manually changing traffic lights and causing a mass collision incident. She quickly jumped on the chance to pursue a person of interest. Running after a teenager in a fruitless pursuit appeared to editorialize what a marathon event does.
Minamoto and Fuji were emotional about marathon traffic duty because their classmate from the police academy was retiring. He needed to go back to his family farm, but he accomplished his dream of driving a police motorcycle. Fuji and Minamoto didn't want to lose a drinking buddy! Thankfully, Fuji hoped she found a new buddy in Kawai.
