Komi-san had a more complete opening credits sequence for the second episode. Komi explosively makes a splash when she drops out of the sky.
Tadano could rely on his childhood friend, Osana Najimi, to make more friends for Komi. Osana Najimi means "childhood friend" in Japanese. First, Najimi is a boy who dresses like a girl. But he used to dress like a boy, so perhaps Najimi was a girl back then. Tadano hates this ambiguity. The second reason is that Najimi readily makes friends, but that influences his personality, making him overbearing. Najimi has his own reason not to help Komi: she was the only one he couldn't befriend in childhood! It traumatized him.
Najimi saw how anxious Komi became when trying to speak to people. He agreed to be her friend after that. Komi could barely contain her glee at making a second friend.
Najimi tried to "help" Komi overcome her social anxiety. He gave her an errand of asking for a complicated drink order. Najimi's pushiness slightly irked her, but her cute pout only caused enjoyable reactions from Tadano and Najimi.
