Nagisa's harsh training to turn herself into Naoya's ideal girlfriend made it impossible for him to catch her!

Nagisa confessed to Saki how she fell in love with Naoya at the school entrance exams. She confirmed her feelings when she learned the school accepted all three of them. After that, she decided to become an ideal woman to woo her first love. Unfortunately, Saki was already Naoya's girlfriend when Nagisa confessed her feelings to him. We saw the rest of the story during the season.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, Naoya overheard the whole story. A ridiculous chase scene happened next. We learned that Nagisa developed crazy stamina during her girlfriend training. The resulting development was that Saki revealed that she, Nagisa, and Naoya were in an open relationship. All three of them ran away to continue their threesome date.

Naoya's ridiculous earnestness earned him a harem date at a hot springs inn. Thankfully, there were no further interruptions.

The ensuing fallout of Shino discovering that Saki was a willing participant in a harem situation was that she wanted to join too! A second season will surely tell the story of how Shino fell in love with Naoya during their early years. She gave up her feelings because she was Saki's best friend, but all bets are off now. If Saki can accept a stranger competing for Naoya, why not her? Milika is still in the mix too, so Naoya's comic earnestness will surely reward him with an expanded harem.
