Kyouya returned to the future, but one that was two years past from when he left. It's also a future where he married Shinoaki, and they have a daughter together. He still has the reputation of being a problem solver inside his game development company.
Kyouya visited an artist who had fallen off the schedule. Ayaka explained that she felt a lack of motivation. She felt like she didn't have anything new to draw. That sounded similar to Shinoaki's feelings for giving up art and for Nanako giving up singing. Kyouya's influence over his friends quashed their artistic drives. Ayaka's new art piece appears eerily similar to Shinoaki's original art. I'm sure we'll find out that Ayaka was a big fan of Shinoaki before she became a stay-at-home mom.
