Edens Zero - Episode 18 - Rebecca Flips and Fires

Rebecca was the second fighter for the Edenszero crew. She needed to defeat another BCuber to satisfy Xiaomei.

Xiaomei began to drool as she explained that Edenszero members would need to fight like gladiators before she would give Homura any clues on the whereabouts of Valkyrie. Why would a lady who knows everything past, present, and future be so excited over a fighting contest? Because Xiaomei doesn't know who will win in any battle! She received her omniscience from Mother, but it had two restrictions on it. First, she would not remember the location of Mother. Second, she did not want to know who would win a fight before it happened. She asked for that constraint because she still wanted to have surprises.

First up was Rebecca. Xiaomei arranged for a popular BCuber to be her opponent, but he didn't play fair. His bullets had fabric melting liquid like that BCuber Kidnapper that wanted to turn girls into statues. Rebecca vented her residual frustration onto the poor guy. Xiaomei ate up the whole exchange.

Shiki and Weisz quickly dispatched their opponents, leaving Homura for last. Xiaomei threw her a curveball by introducing a Valkyrie replica for her to fight. We saw how Valkyrie rescued a cute Homura as a child in a wartorn village from a flashback. Then we saw how Homura defeated the replica by showing her improved skills from the last time Xiaomei had records of Valkyrie in battle.

The Edenszero crew won all their bouts, so Xiaomei needed to tell them where to start looking for Valkyrie. Shiki and Weisz were disappointed that Rebecca's clothes went back to normal. The next destination for the Edenzsero is a planet with many gems on it. Looks shiny!
