The opening and closing credits show Rimuru and his forces in their newly evolved forms and uniforms from his Demon Lord status. Veldora Tempest the Storm Dragon makes up for lost bro time with Rimuru too. He still won't beat Rimuru in an eating contest any time soon.
Rimuru came back from the Jura Cave with a handsome blonde man, but his friends didn't believe him when he introduced him as Veldora. When Treyni the Dryad appeared to show him respect, the crowd suddenly believed. They weren't surprised at all that Veldora is Rimuru's oldest and dearest friend. His first friend, even! It's been 37 episodes since that fateful meeting, and I greatly enjoyed the emotional reunion.
The biggest development of the Demon Lord evolution and Shion's resurrection was that she came back with a unique skill: Master Chef! No matter what she makes or how it looks, her dishes will always be delicious. I have mixed feelings about losing one of the funniest running jokes in TenSura.
