Siesta, the legendary detective, took advantage of Kimi's legendary bad luck to kidnap him and put him on a plane that a hijacker had targeted. She gave the kidnap victim a gun she planned on using against the hijacker! Siesta kept repeating that a first-rate detective gets a handle on a case before the incident occurs. The only variable in stopping the hijacker sent by the secretive criminal organization SPES was Kimi himself. He passed, but he didn't know that yet.

Kimi was stubborn. Siesta kept visiting for a week, trying to persuade him to become her sidekick. Siesta heard about his school festival and the mystery of disappearing track club members. She took advantage of the confluence of events that drug dealers caused those disappearances to convince him to join her on the adventure of his life. He made her promise to protect him "until death do they part," and she, unfortunately, kept that promise. Three years later, Kimi rejoined normal society as a high school student after Siesta, the legendary detective, died. What happened then, and what happens next? Kimi's story begins now.
