It's club recruitment drive time, but Honoka and Shizuku can't be bothered with the attention they're getting. Their new best friend and homeroom classmate Miyuki has problems worrying about her brother Tatsuya! These two siblings are so perfect. Miyuki is already in the student council, and Tatsuya is on the discipline committee. Honoka doesn't know Tatsuya well yet, but she does know that Miyuki is so beautiful that she questions her femininity. Shizuku is used to that feeling from knowing Honoka for many years already.
We're at the part of Mahouka's story where Tatsuya becomes the target of anti-magician insurgents, and they think they can recruit him. This is where Honoka and Shizuka become good friends with Eimi. They all want to protect Tatsuya from outside forces without worrying Miyuki because they know she'll overreact and freeze the balls off anyone who threatens her big brother. Shizuku, Honoka, and Eimi form the Girl Detective Club to find who is trying to harm Tatsuya and neutralize them before Miyuki finds out. They're doing this to help their friend, not because Tatsuya is such a hottie. It's true! Believe them!
