Kanon loves to sing and dance, but she has terrible stage fright. After failing to get into the music program at her high school, she wants nothing to do with music performances. Half-Chinese KeKe has other plans for her after hearing Kanon singing to herself. Kanon needs to join KeKe as a school idol!
Kanon brought KeKe home, where her family runs a coffee shop. Kanon's mother and sister offer fun comic relief. They can't believe anyone could look at Kanon as "cute," much less school idol material.
After much dramatic reluctance, Kanon agreed to join KeKe on her quest to form a school idol group. They will have challenges. One such challenge is the granddaughter of the music program's founder, who insists that idols are not serious music performers. We already know she'll be joining sooner or later, but school idol groups always need to be banned before acceptance in a Love Live plot.
Kanon and the all-important Love Live feather feature in the end card.
