Bokutachi no Remake - Episode 4 - Shinoaki Wakes Up

Shinoaki is the pet cat of Share House Kitayama. She always naps when she can and only wakes up when she needs to.

Producer Kyoya sure knows how to pick location shoots. He turned his group's next movie project into a beach trip. Shinoaki and Nanako take a break in their attractive bathing suits.

An argument between Tsurayuki and Eiko was the reason for the work stoppage. Eiko reminded him that even if he cut dialog lines and rewrote them, they still might be cut in the editing process. It's the evergreen tension between creators and editors about who owns the final product. And since Remake Our Life! is a show about art school, Eiko took her turn in the fanservice seat.

Eiko noticed that Kyoya's production schedule was way longer than first-year students can have rental equipment. Other people are also starting to spot Kyoya's scrounging skills, like senior student Keiko. She'll become a significant character, later on, I'm sure.

Team Kitayama won first prize for their beach story, but they weren't satisfied with the quality of Nanako's acting. Nanako felt that another group deserved the top spot due to its superior acting. However, Professor Kanou explained that one part of a project does not raise up the others. That made Nanako feel like she dragged her partners' efforts down.

This all came to a head when Team Kitayama went to karaoke to celebrate, and they heard Nanako's strong but tone-deaf voice. Eiko realized why Nanako's acting felt flat: it was because she wasn't serious about it. Nanako should be serious about singing, but she gave up when she didn't try to learn how to correct holding a note.

Yurika, the busty tomboy senpai in the Fine Arts Club, needs to stop awakening Takashi's foot-mashing fetish. Kyoya went there to get help teaching Nanako musical skills. He met Keiko there, who tried to recruit him to her game development circle for production. He's been there and done that. In the future, obviously. That made him remember how he needed auto-tune to fix a terrible singer's track.

Nanako moped in her room, feeling terrible about the fight with Eiko. Kyoya, the scrounger, played her karaoke voice back to her through her door after he had adjusted its pitch. Now Nanako knew she could become a splendid singer! We know who she'll become in Kyoya's future memories.
