Meliodas and Ban defeated the Demon King, allowing Meliodas to become the Demon King with his full personality. The first thing he used his ultimate power for was to break the curse that made him immortal and Elizabeth die and reincarnate. They could now enjoy their love and lives together.
The next Great War was over after Meliodas became the Demon King. The mortals and gods would need to rebuild, but the first order of business was to celebrate! Margaret was there for Gilthunder and Jericho dressed up for a fancy party. On her way there, she bumped into Giant Chief Matrona, Gerheade, and the fairy Puora. They were all going to the same place!
Ban and Meliodas needed to fulfill a thousand-year promise they made while in Purgatory. They found Hawk and sang him the lullaby his older brother Wild used to sing. The erst-while Mild didn't know why he felt so emotional, but he felt like family coming together with Ban and Meliodas.
The huge celebration was at the Boar's Hat! Everyone was there to celebrate. Royalty and commoners, knights and mercenaries, and allies from the Great War were all in attendance. Meliodas and Ban shared a moment to toast the night sky that they hadn't seen in a thousand years with beer they hadn't tasted in even longer. Ban already knew that Meliodas hadn't dispelled the curses on Elizabeth and him. Meliodas had merely used his Demon King powers to transfer both of them to him. We have a whole season before us, so it was obviously too early for a genuine happy ending.
