Elaina came to a town famous for its clocktower, but she was too broke and hungry to appreciate the view. Luckily for her, Estelle the Lavender Witch wanted to pay a witch a lot of money for short term work.
The job required a lot of magic, which meant Estelle would need Elaina to share her magic during the project. The job? Go back in time to save Estelle's best friend from becoming a disturbed serial killer after a traumatic childhood event.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to change the past. Estelle was the one who executed her serial killer friend and when she went back to the past, she had to do it again! The little girl was always a disturbed serial killer and Estelle stopped her earlier in her life than in the timeline she knew by giving up her memories of the girl who only acted as her best friend. Elaina returned to the present and could only weep at the disturbing events and the futility of trying to change the past.
