Emma recalled her first day at Nijigasaki High School and the first person she met was Karin. They became good friends starting that day.
Emma Verde came from Switzerland to become an idol and was happy to share her plans with Karin, who is a pro model.
The Nijigasaki School Idol Club made a decision for everyone to pursue a solo idol path, but they'll still help each other with planning promo videos and costume choices. Emma needed to decide on a cute costume for her promo video and Karin persuaded the theater club to make some cute suggestions for her. Yuu liked the Teddy Bear costume the most.
Karin felt left out from Emma's increasing activities with the School Idol Club, but those feelings also masked her hidden desire to become an idol too, not just be a model. After Emma found an interview questionnaire for Karin where she admitted wanting to be an idol, Emma took Karin on a date around a city district because it was her answer to one of those interview questions. This was also Emma's attempt to help Karin to be honest with herself. It just goes to show that in the world of Love Live!, yuri dates are the answers and solutions to a cute idol's problems.
