Chizuru asked Kaguya to do her a favor of dating a super shy rental girlfriend colleague Sumi. She's so shy! She's pretty, but she's so reserved and quiet that things get awkward quickly. Kazuya figured there are some guys who might like her type.
Sumi's charms include the quiet blushing, the unguarded sexy moments, and her clumsiness providing lucky lecher scenes.
Mami spied Kazuya and Sumi on their date and began following them. When she tried to guilt Kazuya into admitting he was cheating on Chizuru, Sumi asserted her own possessiveness and pride as a rental girlfriend. The value doesn't lie in sad sack Kazuya but the perception that other girls find value in him. Based on lies, of course.
