Haumea usually has Charon protecting her because Pillars have a complementary buddy system. However, Haumea is flighty, so she made Arrow protect her, who usually protects Shou, because she was mad at Charon. Unfortunately, both Arrow and Haumea are long range fighters, so they couldn't handle the melee attacks of Maki or Dominions Lady. Haumea didn't care. Arrow's job was to protect her, so she better do it.
Ritsu the Maid has the ability of using charred corpses with infernals and constructed a huge beast with Nataku in the center of it to kill as many opponents as possible before taking him back to the Evangelist camp. However, that huge infernal went totally bonkers, so even Charon had to protect Shinra as a Pillar. Total chaos made Inca happy. The three sided fight finally became one against the out-of-control infernal. Maki joined forces with the Dominions Lady to defeat the giant infernal, but it was still going to be a contest to secure Nataku first.
