Arte finally saw how Katarina acts when she's cooking and feels most like herself.
Yuri told Arte Katarina's story of living with her wet-nurse Buona and her son Gimo in villa in the country until she was six years old. It explains how she can't relate to her real parents and how Buona's sudden death before Katarina could apologize for saying something awful caused her withdrawal from the Venice household.
After Arte made a big scene and arranged for Katarina to see Gimo again, Katarina shut herself in her room for three days because of how she couldn't reconcile having a different family than the proxy one she had in the country. Art was about to be dismissed when Katarina begged her father to let her stay and Sofia defied her husband too.
Mother and daughter made a real connection after being apart for so long. Now Arte just has to paint everyone. Since she never had to teach Katarina etiquette, her job now is the family portraitist.
