Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T - Episode 14 - 10 Second Anime

Touma shuts Mikoto’s runaway transformation. The sports festival ends with a traditional bonfire dance.

#14 – “Jaw of the Dragon King (DRAGON STRIKE)”

Hmm.

The best thing about the Railgun franchise is getting to see how Mikoto has such good friends. Saten is the best wingman in getting Mikoto close to HER MAN. Kongou is a great new friend and a worthy addition to Mikoto’s Scooby Gang. This episode was just fun fanservice to give us happy thoughts after all the anxiety of Mikoto’s transformation into a giant bomb.

Misaki as a villain didn’t really pay off, which is good. She’s not evil; she just doesn’t like Mikoto and the feeling is mutual. Their unfriendly rivalry will continue after this because of how Misaki replaced the missing memories of Mikoto’s near explosion with being stuck on the toilet with explosive diarrhea. Mikoto will not forgive Misaki any time soon.

The other villain Mitori will have her own epilogue next week in a long flashback about her friendship with Dolly. That part of the story may go a long way in explaining the origins of Mikoto’s clones. Strangely, there is one missing villain who may not show up again until the events of Index III — Xochitl. She just disappeared after rescuing Saten. This kind of thing happens all the time in the Index universe.

Heh.

Misaki beat Kihara. Ooh, she learned something else from his battered brain, probably related to Mitori being Dolly’s friend.

Touma and Gunha are still at it. These two are the manliest teenagers in Academy City. Guts! Touma won his argument about being the one to stop Mikoto’s ball of energy, but Gunha will pave the way for him.

Yes, Mikoto. It’s always HIM. Always. Ouch. As if Touma would let getting his arm ripped off stop him from saving the girl. Okay, we’ve seen him do that White Dragon thing before, but where did these other dragons come from? Just go with it. He needs to rescue Biri Biri. Touma’s dragons ate up all that purple energy. He won again. Touma scolded Mikoto for never asking for help, and he’s not just talking about himself either. He’s right.

Oh, Touma’s right arm? It’s fine. Not even the events of World War III could reveal any answers to that mystery. Har! There’s that Shadow Metal Saten was looking for!

Epilogue time. Misaka 10032 is fine after Heaven Canceler gave her a vaccine for Kihara’s virus. Kongou looks to be in good spirits. She had better not get any scars on her pretty face. Mikoto claims she’s not such a great person, but Kongou wisely says that is something for those around her to decide. Nice. Hee hee. Kongou is blushing madly that her friends Wannai and Awatsuki saved her.

Misaki has plans for Mtiori. I wonder what! Yay! Saten, Uiharu, and Kuroko have their memories back. Except for that explosive diarrhea thing… Kuroko’s old man sighs are the best. Blaming things on a terrorist group was fine, but Mikoto can’t forgive Misaki for the toilet trouble solution.

Sports festival montage! Get your fanservice right here! Oho! Bonfire dance. Saten the Wingman! This is a good reward for putting up delays and that terrible filler episode 13. Look at the daggers Kuroko’s send towards Touma.

You want to dance, “donchu?” “Yes, I do.” Hahahaha!

Uiharu and Saten just had a good idea. Saten asked for a bonfire dance, but then stuck Mikoto in her place! Ah, so good! Uiharu is a good wingman too! Ohohoho! Touma made Mikoto admit he’s a treasured friend too. Kuroko ended the scene on the right note too.

Next time, it looks like Railgun is giving us the scenes it should have had for the 13th episode flashbacks. Maybe we’ll finally have the second half’s new opening and closing credits?
