Keshi took the news the hardest when Gotou told his assistants he might not be getting a puppy after all.
Hime wanted a puppy and her homeroom teacher, with her big, old dog, convinced Gotou they could handle it. By the time he decided to foster a puppy from one of his neighbors, they were already given away. His assistants were sad they wouldn't have an office dog. Keshi, the one who cried the loudest, found a painting of Hime and a dog in Gotou's storage facility. Except, it was actually his wife, painted by her father, when she was the same age as Hime!
In the end, Hime got a puppy from her grandfather, the assistants got their office dog, and Hime got a piano too from her grandfather because her mother played. Gotou finds it hard to refuse the gifts, because they're meant to benefit Hime, but they remind him too much of his dead wife.
