Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita - Episode 6 - 10 Second Anime

Shinya and Ayame try experiments on kissing, but then the whole research lab got involved. Will their special moment get ruined?

Proof 6 - "Science-types Fell in Love, So They Tried Kissing"

Hmm.

Rikei ga Koi brought the comedy this episode. I laughed out loud several times during each of the kissing experiments as the pairs set up my expectations and took a left turn at Albuquerque. Shinya's scene with Kosuke especially resonated with the overt shounen machismo paired with the BL double entendres. The teeny-bopper background music was an excellent touch and I just couldn't stop smiling and giggling as the couples worked their ways to their scene's punchline.

I noticed that the only actual kiss on the lips in the Rikei ga Koi episode on the lips was between Ena and Ayame, and that was outside the confines of the data trials. Ena claimed that the kiss between two girls counted more as a greeting instead of having any meaning between lovers, but that apparently wasn't so for the witnesses. I wonder if Shinya and Ayame are going to tackle the thorny question of jealousy and how it can clarify whether someone is in love or not.

We've been seeing jealousy played for jokes for several episodes now, and it definitely spurred Shinya to confront that flashy guy during the date, providing Ayame with her favorite moment of their relationship. The notion that love between two people needs third person confirmation besides the lovers' agreement should be an interesting thing to quantify and experiment on. Of course, everyone in Rikei ga Koi except Shinya and Ayame already know they're in love. They just need to prove it to the adorable couple's satisfaction.

Heh.

The thumb spamming in Rikei ga Koi has become a great recurring joke! Ayame doesn't want to kiss Shinya with all this measurement equipment around. Ha! Shinya wanted to kiss! Ayame is a pure, pure maiden. She doesn't want her first kiss with Shinya to be like this. Kotonoha the normie gets it!

Ah. The math nerds are going to try to quantify "mood" to facilitate kissing. Shouldn't Kosuke know more about "getting girls in the mood" with all the galge routes he's played? But that's more like buying a certain girl the correct color of accessory or her favorite dessert. Ayame wants atmosphere to give the moment a special meaning.

Ena shows her superior understanding by showing how mixing the super macho with a private moment ruins the mood. There we go. Kosuke's time to shine. Ena-oneesan still likes her Torasuke. Haha! He put in the porno example! He is a man of culture and eroge veteran.

Rikei ga Koi's examples of mood and how they get ruined are hilarious. Kissing while people watch fireworks — great! Kissing while people watch you kissing instead of fireworks — not great at all. Hoho. Ena told Shinya and Ayame to shut up for a bit and look at each other. That's too much for their gentle hearts! This mood music is killing me. It's so romantically cliché!

Time to get nerdy with math. The Rikei ga Koi mood function needs weighted factors as functions of time and intensity too. Professor Ikeda shows his stuff! The Rikei ga Koi Bear will explain the final product.

Ena sees through the looking glass at her inverted self in the eye catch.

Ah. This rooftop is where all the kissing will take place. Or the not-kissing. We'll just have to see what happens. Haha! The first kissing couple is Kotonoha and Shinya. Is there a jealousy factor somewhere in that mood function? Oh. They're the control couple. I'm enjoying this too much. Ayame needs to know if Shinya did more than kiss Kotonoha's hand.

Kyaa! Ena so bold! Kissing is no big deal in Western countries, she claims. Not kissing like that! Shinya needs a jealousy function too. Now, now Ena. A kiss between two girls can totally count for something if they're the right kind of girls.

Okay, experiment time. Rikei ga Koi's use of 50's style love songs for the background music tickles me so. I keep expecting someone to bust out singing "Earth Angel." First up is Kosuke, but Ayame doesn't want to be kissed anywhere near her face. However, kissing her foot is also out! Elbows mean nothing. Kiss the elbow, Kosuke! Bah. A kiss on the hand is just a courtly greeting. Ayame felt nothing!

Nice, nice. Ayame kisses Kotonoha next. Oh yes. Senpai head pats! I've seen how this yuri story goes. Hee. Ayame-senpai got shy. Aw. Ayame is happy to have a real female friend, even a little sister type. That made Kotonoha's heart go kyuun~! Lewd! A kiss on the forehead! So many feelings!

I love it! This music is so great! The BL pairing needs to be rock macho! But how are Kosuke and Shinya going to complete the kissing quest? These lines are straight shounen battle dialogue! "Grit your teeth and take it!" Also, see yaoi… Does a headbutt count as a kiss? I notice we still need that jealousy function. Shinya needs to know what Kosuke kissed on Ayame's body!

Ena and Shinya is going to be great. She's like a mischievous cat. She'll push buttons, knock over things, and then leave as if it's not her business. Hey, I think this mood function needs an NTR parameter. Shinya opts for tactical retreat! Hilarious. They're both "indoor-types" so they can't run for very long.

Kosuke and Ena make a wager on gacha for the kiss placement. Hey, what if Kosuke wants to kiss your foot, Ena? Doesn't he win no matter what with those gacha lottery rules? Aw! I wanted Rikei ga Koi to show what happened! Meanwhile, the Kotonoha cleverly goes with the indirect kiss to get out of the experiment with Kosuke.

Finally, the main event! Ayame and Shinya. Kissing. Go! Oh, this is getting too real for them. Rikei ga Koi is a romantic comedy on its 6th episode of a 12-episode season. You know what that means. No kiss! Still, lots of credit due for the buildup to the inevitable head fake. "Go slowly." Nice, nice. And here come all the negative asymptotic mood interruptions! First, loud helicopter noise. Next, it got too dark. After that, too many people! Utter defeat!

Oho! The atmospheric mood might be negative, but Ayame is still "in the mood." Aggressively too! Aw. She's panicking because it's her first real kiss. She and Shinya will have time to get it right. Cute. That kiss on her hair is like a raincheck for the real deal. That's a dramatic exit. Ayame liked it. Shinya promised a kiss of the "highest theoretical value." I shudder to think of the equation for that.

Oh ho. Epilogue. Who had Rikei ga Koi's best numbers? Of course! The highest heart rate and whatever went to Ena and Shinya because they just ran around for their allotted time. And the heavy metal BL pair was second! It all came down to the pairs not actually kissing on the lips. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!
