Our heroes ran towards the domain of Quetzalcoatl, but I was more interested in how the Babylonian goddess Ishtar ran like a Japanese ninja.
The goddess Quetzalcoatl appeared to be invulnerable, and to favor luchador pro wrestling moves like the Big Splash, but she just needed Fujimaru to charm her in a certain way like he did Jaguar Man in the last episode.
Fujimaru "defeated" Quetzalcoatl by showing he appreciated how much she loved human beings. She loved them by messing around with them and resurrecting if they died, but she still loved them. She offers no such favor if you're a goddess, as Jaguar Man found out.
We still haven't resolved why Ishtar likes Fujimaru so much or why she sometimes appears as the blonde goddess Eshkigal, but we have time enough for when the show resumes its second half in the Winter 2020 season next year.
