Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne! - Episode 5 - Girls Want Mile's Backstory

After hearing everyone else's troubled, or not-so-troubled, past, there was no way the other girls were going to allow Mile to avoid telling her own.

Reina had a pretty sad story of losing first her father, and then her adoptive family of Hunters to brigands and highwaymen. Mile and Pauline weren't too impressed with this story being Reina's motivation to kill gangs of bandits, but Mavis was very touched emotionally.



Pauline trains as a Hunter to get strong enough to kill the man who killed and stole her father's business and made her mother his mistress. Mile is very correct in being afraid of Pauline's smile.



Mavis had the easiest backstory of all. She was the pampered only daughter of a Knight with a bunch of sons who were also knights. They wouldn't allow her to become one, so she ran away to become a Hunter first. Mavis got no sympathy from the others, considering how much murder and unsavory circumstances played into their own.

The "main event," as Pauline called it, was Mile's story. She was originally Adele, who awoke to her reincarnated self when she was 10 and living a Cinderella story of a wicked stepmother and daughter. At least she Nano and her strong magic. She was banished to a boarding school, but had to work a part-time job to pay for her amenities. She made friends with Marcela, but had to abandon the school after impersonating a goddess to save a child from being killed by royal guards. Adele became Mile when she traveled to the neighboring kingdom to go to Hunter school. And we're all caught up!
