Mamako's rules for joining her party were pretty strict. Make a good wife for Ma-kun and don't get between her son and herself.
Why would Mamako reject a nice-looking elf priestess? Because the instinctively knew the motherly elf would take her Ma-kun away from her! Meanwhile, she took in the volatile sage Wise because she looked like she needed some motherly affection. I don't think she knew that Wise stepped on Masato's face...
So, the newly formed party, including Wise and Porter the walking coupon book and bottomless bag, went off to explore a dungeon. Slimes in this game are pretty tough.
The slimes made the mistake of combining and becoming a big Slime that only melted either women's clothes or, maybe worse, only mothers' clothes. Mamako had it rough because she was wearing her thong today (for some reason). She got mad and she got results. Porter luckily had an apron she could wear to cover up.
