Ayano's specialty is returning hard shots, but can she do it with a broken string and from a player whom she wasn't expecting to hit it?
Connie insisted on her one against two match play, so Ayano and Riko followed Kentarou's plan of defensive play to tire her out. Ayano was hobbled emotionally because of Connie's mama talk, but she also wasn't expecting Connie's partner to deliver match point.
The melodrama is pretty thick in this show, but it turns out all the girls are good people with their cute sides. It's unfortunate that the drama side is so poorly written compared to the funny bits with how fun the characters are.
Again showing how dense Ayano is, Connie had to explicitly tell her she was the blonde girl in the magazine article that made Ayano quit playing badminton. Apparently, Uchika has been a bad "mama" to Connie too and Connie came to Japan to chase her down. I'm sure it will all be a huge misunderstanding with the socially inept Uchika.
