New director Azami begins his administration by disbanding all independent groups at Toutsuki Academy, including the Polar Star Dormitory. Souma challenges Eizan to a Shokugeki to stop the closure.
Episode 7 - "The Crumbling Academy"
Heh.
The quick plot summary is that Azami's plan for the school is abolishing all independent thought and creativity about dishes and recipes. That means all cuisine will be taught with the correct ingredients and cooking steps. Also, since there won't be any "new" food or variations, there is no need for Research Clubs, Societies, or Groups. They're abolished too, even affecting faculty and, importantly to our main characters, the Polar Star Dormitory. Eizan, along with the new brown shirts group Central, has been designated enforcer, and he fulfills his duties with relish.
The Erina Nakiri group isn't being very stealthy.
Eizan was apparently magnanimous in accepting shokugeki to stop groups from being disbanded, but it was all a ruse because he somehow got the judges on his side and blatantly advertised the fact.
All Ikumi did this episode was yell at the TV.
Eizan makes the best villain faces. Can't wait to see what he does next episode.
On the other hand, Souma's hero faces look pretty much like villain faces too. I love it!

Oh, hey. More scenes from that OVA I haven't seen yet. Megumi's duck is, ahem, a lucky duck.
Unforgivable! Azami and Eizan made girls cry! Souma decided to challenge Eizan anyway. Does he have a plan besides just changing the judges' minds?
Meanwhile, Eizan plays his own card by sending the Central toughs to clear out the dorm while he's away. He doesn't know the residents of the Polar Star Dormitory very well. He should, after seeing Isshiki at work, but it didn't register, I guess.
Rindou was provoking a response from Eizan too. Souma did disrupt his plan to take the traffic away from his hometown street market, so Souma is already one point up on him.
Can the dorm last three hours while Souma battles Eizan in his supposedly hopeless shokugeki? We'll have to see what happens next time!
