We meet Chiaki's sister Konoha, a gamer in her own way. Keita and the other gamers play the Game of LIFE.
DAY 8 - "Erogamer and Watching Mode"
DAY 8.5 - "Gamers and Half their LIFE Game"
Hmm.
We had two mini-episodes, one introducing Chiaki's sister Konoha and the other showing the kids play a board game that hilariously makes running commentary on all their romance comedy complications. They seemed to be unrelated, but what connected them was the younger sister Konoha because the game was played at Chiaki's house.
Konoha already had a history with Karen because she ended up at the high school that Karen would have gone to if her current high school didn't have the reputed Gamers Club that she needed to recreate. If Karen had gone to the more prestigious girls school, she would have been the Student Council President, but it seems like they ended up with Konoha as a consolation prize the next year. That's already some built-in spite for when they finally meet, and then they need to add in the complication of her falling in love with Keita over his opinions on erogames.
So, we needed that tension of Konoha being in the same house as Keita as the board game made its sarcastic digs at the romantic misunderstandings among the gamers. That was just to ratchet up the excitement, though, because the point of the 2nd half was to get Tasuku and Aguri back together. They were never really apart, but there were comedic misunderstandings.
But this comedy excels at building up the craziness. So as soon as one knot got untangled, another snarl showed up with Konoha and the tangling string of Chiaki being "fated" for Keita finally got snagged and hitched. Better yet, she found out who Keita was online as both her online gaming partner and number one indie game fan, but Keita didn't. It won't be long before she's making the same kind of frustrated faces that Tasuku makes.
Heh.
What a way to introduce Chiaki's sister whom we just missed last week: consolation prize Student Council President.
Pettanko Twintail with a secret erogame passion and a love for young maiden's warmth. She's a dirty old man!
Yeah, that disguise is totally going to work...
Man, this Golden Memories game must be the best game ever.
Ha! Keita totally looks like a useless MC-kun. He IS the useless MC-kun!
Uh oh. Keita likes the same obscure erogame that Konoha likes. I smell a love connection.
There it was! She fell in love! Just like Karen did!
Hoh. How does Chiaki not know that her younger sister is a total erogame pervert?
She's just like Karen! Karen's on the cover of that Golden Memories game and Konoha is on the cover of this Rainbow Court game.

Oh man. This game of half-LIFE is so savage in its running commentary.
Tasuku had a good idea of getting everyone together to just get all the misunderstandings out, but this evil board game doubled down on their misconceptions. I love it!
Tasuku is dying. These "vague" pronouncements on the game board is exactly on the dot.
Karen would be jealous of MONO.
Holding hands! Tasuku and Aguri are lovey-dovey again.
It's happening! Chiaki is going to find out Keita is her soul mate!
Ah. Maybe not. You never can tell what's on the other side of a cliffhanger and a flash forward epilogue. Nyoron~
Chiaki gets another turn at the end card, mimicking Karen's first appearance at an arcade game in her skivvies.
