10 Second Anime - Gamers! - Episode 6

All the misunderstandings clash together in a very public scene between Karen and Keita.

DAY 6 - "Gamers and Wipeout 'Game Over'"

Heh.

Now Chiaki and Tasuku are hanging out at that same family restaurant.

Chiaki still thinks Keita and Aguri are dating. Why isn't Tasuku correcting her? Or at least telling her that Aguri is supposed to be his girlfriend? He's being vague like a skeevy player...

Aguri and Keita just sneaked by hiding their heads! That only works in videogames!

Things are getting worse with all this incomplete eavesdropping. It's like a funny Othello mashed together with A Comedy of Errors.

Ha! Chiaki just wished Keita was the helicopter pilot in a Capcom game. Helicopters always blow up so the player gets stuck!

Har! Aguri is chanting the Contra cheat code!

Aguri misspelled love, then she corrected it! I keep using exclamation points!

Karen is still in her slump, totally rejecting love confessions like a savage.

Even Misumi knows Karen is crushing on Keita. Who doesn't know this yet?

What the hell, Keita? Running away from your route girl when she's in trouble?

Who said you have to neg every girl outside of the route in your galge anyway? You've got to raise all the flags but shut down other routes as you concentrate on one girl. Sheesh, some gamer. No wonder you couldn't get the Best Girl.

These other routes in Golden Memories look interesting...

The only ones without convoluted delusions are Keita and Karen. Their misunderstanding is actually understandable. Keita wants to be friends, because he doesn't think he and Karen are already friends. Karen wants a relationship, because she thinks they're already friends. Gah! This is regular rom-com stuff.

But those other guys... Aguri's relationship chart shows how crazy she, Tasuku, and Chiaki are overthinking things.

Oh my god, oh my god! This is the set up to the flash forward in the first episode. It's happening!

Keita draws on the strength of his friends, even that Golden Memories game, but deliberately excludes Chiaki. But! She's still there as MONO.

Now I know why everyone was looking at everyone else instead of the public love confession Keita just did.

So much delusion had to be explained, we didn't get opening or closing credits. That's an extra three minutes of dialogue.

Hee. Fun camera work on Karen as she made her way to her meeting with Keita.

I love it. That one second Keita started his spiel got replayed four times.

Yay! Surprise Happy End!

Heh. This episode had a stealth title. DAY 6 - "Karen Tendou and the Surprise 'Happy End'"

I can see there's a lot of pieces that need to get picked up after this episode. I also see one complication in Keita busting out the love confession instead of the friend confession. There might be a bit more will-they-won't-they get together drama.

I also really hope we don't get another side story after this cliffhanger like they did last time, but I don't mind. This show has its own charm that way.

Karen's route in this game looks pretty interesting too...
