10 Second Anime - Naruto Shippuuden - Episode 482

OVA Shippuuden continues. Gaara feels moments of loneliness and connectedness. Chouji and Shikamaru befriend Naruto.

Episode 482 - "Gaara • Shikamaru"

Heh.

This week's character studies were on Gaara and Shikamaru. We saw some poignant scenes with Gaara and his older siblings Kankuro and Temari. They used to play with him and Kankuro acted like an impressed older brother. Temari didn't like to see the boys acting like boys too, just like a regular oldest sister.

But then, like we'd seen before, the Kazekage kept the "normal" siblings separate from Gaara and left him to the care of Yashamaru, whom Gaara eventually killed when she was ordered to kill him.

Shikamaru and Chouji didn't start out as the greatest of friends, but Chouji's defense of Naruto for standing up to bullies on Hinata's behalf made Shikamaru respect him.

Those three became the hangout buddies we saw later on in the show.

Iruka was the funny revelation of the episode.

Is Iruka-sensei actually negotiating prices with hookers?

Naruto couldn't do regular substitution jutsu at this young age, but he had already perfected Sexy no Jutsu. No wonder he used it to save the world!

Next time, younger Jiraiya and prissy Kakashi get their character OVA's.
