Finds from the Grind - Moto Pacing

Grabbing the wheel of a motorized scooter for about a block made me feel almost professional. One of the things climbing specialists do in training is hold a specific speed behind a moped. You can't always train with a peloton or your team to get used to following wheels, so some pros get their coach on a moped and work on position and effort in real road conditions. On this day, I was almost home after blasting my legs for 60 miles up and down some mountain roads, so when I saw a chance to get home just a little quicker, I took it.
