Episode 473 - "The Sharingan Revived"

I can't believe it! The Kaguya arc is over! Well, there's still the mopping up and the 5 minute recap next episode, but Kaguya is defeated and we have some breathing room before the final arc of Naruto's story. Can we go through all that in 4 to 5 episodes? I have my doubts, considering how we're seeing Bleach style story stretching tactics.

Lots of things in this last battle made me remember past scenes. Like Naruto nailing Black Zetsu to the ground in the same way Pain did to Naruto when he came back to save the village from his attack.

Plus, there was Rin making fun of Obito for helping out another geezer.

All this time and I didn't know it was a big deal that Kakashi's name means "scarecrow."

Loophole! Obito told Kakashi he wanted Naruto to be the 7th Hokage because he wants Kakashi to be the 6th. Team Minato sure are greedy people for their friends.

Now this is how you do Bijuudama with Rasen Shuriken!

The 7 and 8 Tails got kind of stiffed with a combined scene. It's too bad we couldn't get to see what each of the different chakra natures could do, but it's the end of the world, you know?

After Kaguya went a little berserk and the 10 Tail came out again, it was confirmed that Kaguya is a big bunny girl. Or as Naruto called her, "Bunny Granny."

Yeah! I haven't felt this pumped up to see Kakashi fighting in a long time. Look at that Copy Ninja go! He's got a double sharingan for like a minute and he's already better at using it than Obito and Sasuke.

Even Naruto called out Sasuke for not doing the stuff with his Susanoo that Kakashi was doing.

Dayum! Kamui Shuriken! Obito never thought of that!

And then, we had a short flashback to Team 7's total lack of teamwork when Kakashi first met them. All so that we could see them do this!

Kakashi used Kamui to move Sakura around and take out Kaguya's dangerous bone rods. Sasuke used his teleportation power to get close to Kaguya.

Yes, Kakashi, it was a beautiful thing to watch.

Victory! And that's the cliffhanger too.

Next time, we'll see the reanimated hokages figure out how to get the heroes out of Kaguya's dimension. Plus, the clash between Sasuke's and Naruto's vision of the future will set up the final arc.

I'm looking forward to seeing some funny stuff after all this stress and filler stories delaying that stress.
