Obito makes the ultimate sacrifice saving Naruto and Kakashi from Kaguya's attack.
Episode 472 - "You Better..."
Heh.
The title refers to Obito last request of Naruto before he crumbles to dust, "You better become Hokage!"
There were flashbacks aplenty as it was made clear that Obito's story was one of tragedy and redemption.
Since Obito couldn't become Hokage, he wants to make sure Naruto does.
Even in Obito's fantasy, Sakura still smacks Naruto around.
It turned out that Naruto's new healing ability couldn't keep up with Kaguya's disintegration technique.
With Sasuke providing his heavy handed distractions, Naruto and Obito had a long time for that final talk.
And then, Obito reunited with Rin in the afterlife.
It had been a long time since Obito let himself be the crybaby he used to be. It's fitting that it was in front of Rin.
Heh. Rin joked that he got lost again which is why it took him so long to join her. And yes, it was running an errand for an old geezer too. He didn't even get any candy out of it.
Nice memory. Right in the feels.
The best part was at the end when Naruto had enough of Black Zetsu's yapping. This is probably a good strategic move anyway, since Kaguya is still not at her best and needed her "child's" timely advice.
Next time, Obito lends Kakashi both his sharingan, somehow, for one final decisive move. Can we really finish the Kaguya arc by the end of the Summer?
