10 Second Anime - Naruto Shippuuden - Episode 471

Kaguya decides to just kill Naruto and Sasuke after their reunion, instead of gathering their chakra.

Episode 471 - "Those Two Together Always"

Heh.

There was lots of narrative mopping up this week. The Sage, who was supposed to be the source of the Sage Filler stories talking to the reanimated Kage's, revealed how he popped up like he did. The lower half of Madara that Kaguya did not emerge from, had the 9-Tails chakra along with the Indra's and Ashura's through the reincarnated vessels of Madara and Hashirama. All those pieces of chakra fused together brought forth the Sage of the Six Paths, who needs the Kage's help in performing a final jutsu, which is still a mystery.

The jutsu needed to seal Kaguya away again can only be done by Sasuke and Naruto through their Moon and Sun signs, so the Sage isn't talking about that. We'll have to see what they do.

The title of the episode gives away Obito's final sacrifice. Because of that, I guess I can forgive how half the show was another rehash of the flashbacks from Obito's story, mainly because they centered on his and Rin's relationship. Obito was always jealous of Kakashi, but he didn't need to be. Rin always loved Obito and just merely admired Kakashi.

Before we get to how Obito set up his last favor to Kakashi, we have to talk about that tricksy Naruto. After Sasuke came back to the same dimension Kaguya and Naruto were in, she just gave up on trying to take their chakra and concentrated on killing them instead.

The Hyuuga clan really was related to these Sage Clan people. Look at Kaguya's Gentle Fists.

All this time Kaguya thought the real Naruto was the one with the black Sage orbs, but it was just Naruto using misdirection again. I thought he might have just disguised the orbs as Shadow Clones too, but maybe Kaguya would have been able to sense the difference.

Ha! Naruto made sure to ask Sasuke if he had properly thanked Obito and Sakura for brining him back. Of course, we know that Sasuke didn't.

The final showdown took place in that strange incomplete dimension we saw last episode. It looked like that because it was a dimension with much stronger gravity that affected Kaguya too.

The tease from last week was that Kakashi wanted to do something to help because he felt powerless without Obito's Sharingan. He's just a normal ninja with two normal eyes now after Naruto grew the missing eye back.

The satisfying ending was that both Obito and Kakashi sacrificed their bodies to take Kaguya's projectile attack on Sasuke and Naruto, with some special ghost help from Rin. But Obito wanted to spend some time alone with Rin first, so he transported Kakashi's bone projectile away as he took his own.

Kakashi is still the ultimate survivor. He's seen many teammates die on him, but it was the second time he saw Obito die.

Next time, it looks like there'll be lots of flashbacks to get the tears flowing as Naruto and Obito relive their relationship before he kicks off, and then perhaps a smattering more of the final fight between Kaguya, Sasuke and Naruto.
