Yeah! Two full episodes for Tenten! This is what filler episodes are for.

Twin tail Tenten is a slice of alright. She extends her China based fashion even to her pajamas.

 

It was a lot of fun to see the Road to Ninja characters in their actual element. Menma, pickled bamboo shoots that are also ramen toppings, had a chance to show off his cool competent personality.

 

Sakura's dad as the 4th Hokage? Uh, no.

 

Kurenai was hilarious as a genjutsu conspiracy buff instead of her usual genjutsu master self.

I laughed out loud when Tenten woke up and a poster next to her bed read つっこみ道　(tsukkomi dou)! The Way of the Tsukkomi! The straight man of standup comedy! Ahahaha!

Oh, that's just too much. I'm already starting to miss these characters.

I did like how the alternate universe ninjas still had their same powers and skills.

Hinata may be wearing short shorts and showing off cleavage and midriff, but she's still a Hyuga. Neji was fun to see as lecherous peeping tom. It only makes sense that a byakugan user would be tempted to see through girls' clothes.

 

With Kiba liking cats instead of dogs, was Akamaru a big cat? I didn't see any animal following him around.

 

The end got me in the feels.

It was a nice fantasy and Tenten was still resisting, but having a dream world where Neji was still alive and people relied on her a bit more was too tempting.

 

There was a good clue about the Sage Tools that Tenten was carrying around in her scroll. They weren't used to unleash any leftover Fox Demon chakra, but we know they can seal anything up. Madara is pretty much immortal now, but he can be put away for good. But there are two jars. Who's going to go in the other one? Hmm.
