10 Second Anime - Aoharu x Kikanjuu - Episode 6

Tachibana finds her purpose to fight in the TGC. Team Gun Gun meet Midori's Team Hoshishiro in the first round.

Episode 6 - "The Storm is Coming"

Heh.

Tachibana always goes on about her "sense of justice," but I think Yukimura is closer to the mark in thinking it's not justice. Perhaps a sense of purpose, a mission, or even a crusade?

Tachibana also made a lot of assumptions about why Matsuoka doesn't want to have a woman on the team after what happened to their former teammate. It may align with Tachibana's purpose that a woman should avenge the crime against the previous female member, but that's probably not what's going on with Matsuoka.

Midori's explanation of the special rules to Tachibana pretty much foreshadow what she'll find that Team Hoshishiro did to Matsuoka and the other teammate. You better yell "hit" real loud or the other guy will keep shooting you forever. You can't yell freeze and take the hit before you're actually shot, no matter how close the gun is to you. This is how the "torture" was done.

Tachibana can really take and dish out the killing intent.

We had the one scene where Tachibana might show off some feminine charm.

Not even a speck of sexiness. I really wonder how the reveal that she's a girl will work out.

Meanwhile, Ichi the nurse, even with her quietly cruel demeanor, rocks a miniskirt and stockings.

You can tell we're still looking at a gender bent Boys' Love story because of the way the guys hold Tachibana's hand. There's no bro clasping here. It's like they're taking a princess' hand before they kiss it. Dudes don't do that in shounen stories. Plus we had that creepy scene of Midori stroking Matsuoka's jaw. Thank goodness Tachibana's a girl, amirite?

Of course the bad guys need to wear fascist uniforms.

I really hope the team name Hoshishiro means Star White instead of Want White. That's a bit too much of the Nazi stuff there.

Hmm.

We're only at the halfway mark, and are heroes are already facing their archenemies. Will this skirmish really take 5 episodes and some change to get resolved? The guy who runs the Top Gun Combat tournament holds it every 6 months, so I can see the narrative arc run through a quick defeat with dramatic revelations and depressing fallout before a redemptive arc heading into the last couple of episodes at the next TGC. But if they go for the 6 episode slog, I don't see how a comedy can have main characters beat their rivals in the first round. The odds are in favor of drama, depression then redemption.
