Rain can be the least of your worries riding in a downpour. To be fair to the guy who almost took me out, rain makes things really hard to hear, or he may have turned to look but he couldn't see me in his blind spot. But given all that, he still should have made some kind of a signal that he was turning, whether he knew somebody was behind him or not.
