10 Second Anime - Ore Monogatari!! - Episode 11

Rinko and Takeo organize a beach trip with their friends.

Heh.

It's the beach episode! Umi da!

One thing I appreciate about this show is that all the kids in it are drawn like they're high school kids. No ridiculous anatomical proportions except for Takeo. I can just enjoy the cuteness overload.

Takeo's friends were looking forward to girls in swimsuits. Takeo thinks swimsuits are just for swimming!

They were dancing in anticipation for the gaggle of girls to join them on the beach.

Takeo thinks the beach is just for swimming, splitting watermelons, bouncing balls and catching crabs.

Bouncing balls and catching crabs! Wait, I made that sound dirty...

Rinko's friends really don't like big muscles, huh? At least they support Rinko and her preferences. They rallied quickly to find a cute swimsuit for her when they knew the mission was to make Takeo's heart pound just like he always makes her heart skip a beat.

Rinko is a sucker for manliness. She needn't worry about Takeo's heart pounding - she does that just by being her cute little self.

Kyaa~ kyaa~ kyaa~! I thought some nearby glass was going to crack with how high she was making those squeals of nervousness at the thought of touching Takeo's bare muscled body. Kyaa~!

Rinko always believes the best about Takeo. He was a big hit with the kids and his friends because of his horseplay talents, but the spin Rinko put on it was "of course he would be popular," as in being popular because he's Takeo. We know he's not that popular with adults, other teenage girls and wild boars.

We still had an opportunity for peril, but it wasn't like a fire or falling down a mountain. And it was caused by the focus of the episode - Rinko's deep fascination with Takeo. She almost got in the way of his swing at a watermelon because she was caught in a daze at how attractive he was to her. She's got it so bad for him.

Takeo is still a big kid, which is why the beach is for swimming and catching crabs instead of ogling girls. He's self-conscious of his attraction to Rinko too, but in her cuteness, not the physical as much as on Rinko's side.

That moment of peril gave Suna a chance to be the Takeo whisperer to bring him down from freaking out at how cute Rinko was in her skimpy swimsuit. She had been covered up in her little hoodie until he was blindfolded for the watermelon strike, so when he took off the blindfold to make sure he wasn't going to hit her, it was the first time he saw so much of Rinko's skin.

They did get to share an awesomely romantic moment with a beautiful sunset, just like Takeo hoped they would. It was the perfect moment for their first kiss too... but those chuckleheads had to ruin the mood. They couldn't wait just 30 seconds to call out to them? Suna would have given them their space.

Rinko still can't get a read on Takeo because she thought she hadn't made his heart skip. Meanwhile, Takeo was looking forward to their next outing so he could have his breath taken away again like at the sunset. Rinko will figure him out soon enough, I'll wager, but she'll have to go through many self-conscious moments along the way.
