Fubuki desperately seeks experience to achieve an upgrade while her friends worry about her recklessness.

I was reminded of the 2nd episode where Fubuki had to train hard to get up to speed as a fleet girl. Here we have her trying too hard again, but with the added baggage of Mutsuki not wanting to see her get sunk by rash actions to confront the enemy and gain enough experience to level up.

 

Oh ho, Akagi wants to be in a special relationship with Fubuki. Her escort, she says...

 

I'm still not sure what all the garbled codes means for the story and how the Abyssals are involved. I still think Kisaragi is going to show up as an Abyssal.

 

Those codes are giving Ooyodo a hard time.

Yay! The Torpedo Girls are all back together. That means we get more idol jokes from Naka-chan.

You need to get permission from her Producer first if you want to take reconnaissance pictures!

 

I always appreciate flirty time with Mutsu and Nagato.

Sometimes it's just too much attention for Nagato. Kawaii~!

 

Fubuki did get her upgrade, with lots of help from Kaga and Akagi, but she was still a little disappointed.

She got bigger guns and her uniform now has two stripes on her sleeves, but she didn't get an infrastructure upgrade like Yuudachi. No enhanced breastworks or buttresses...

Ha! They used the CGI version of her new character model in front of Mutsuki and Yuudachi.

 

The fans of the game got some extra service with a made-up wedding scene using lines from the game. That ship sailed (har) when the Admiral made Nagato the Secretary Ship. Good choice!

Akagi and Kaga take their job of beating down a smaller ship very seriously.

Hmm.

Fubuki fulfilled her orders to upgrade, but the admiral is still missing. On mixed news is that he left orders for Nagato to organize the final battle, but it's in a code that she doesn't know. Having to confirm the actual base for the Abyssals was still dangerous work, as we saw with the patrol where Fubuki tried to do too much, but Nagato thinks she has the right location. We'll see about that.

 

Yuudachi is now in Carrier Group 1 and Akagi has asked Fubuki to be her escort ship, so the newly upgraded ship girls are together. Left behind is Mutsu, but I don't know how the assignments will play out for next episode. Things are getting serious again, so I expect a lot of CGI scenes next time.
