The Aurora and its forces begin its frontal assault on Embryo's tower. Jill and Ersha rejoin the fight for Libertas.

You know it's time for the final battle when people start talking about good luck charms and goodbye kisses.

Man, somebody should stop the AI development on Roombas. Those things turned into bad news 500 years into the future.

 

Oh, so now Alektra tells us how to kill Embryo. He has an actual real body in some probabilistic dimension that he keeps making copies of. This is why the Vilkiss is so important because it's the only Ragna-mail that can jump between parallel worlds. Too bad we didn't get to see what the other names and abilities of its sibling Ragna-mails are, but I guess that's something to explore in the video games.

 

I thought Alektra had lost that ring. I guess she gave up on the Vilkiss because she couldn't sing? I thought I saw a karaoke lounge somewhere on Arzenal...

 

Speaking of good luck charms...

Ange had already given THAT to Tusk, so what more could she give as a remembrance? Well, they're only on loan. She'll need those back otherwise she'll catch a cold!

 

Hilda got something nice from Ange too.

Real niiice! I wonder how Tusk will feel about that. Maybe it'll be okay as long as Ange's crotch is a Tusk exclusive.

 

Sylvia's story got the resolution we needed so we don't have to think about her anymore.

Yup, still just a bit on the exploitative side. I'm kind of meh on the whole idea that she could have used her legs whenever she wanted because in a mana-based society, healthcare should have been able to deal with a spine injury. But worse, Sylvia's psychosomatic paralysis didn't quite fit her personality at the time. It's almost explainable coming from a sheltered and pampered lifestyle, but ah, whatever. She pissed herself, she can get around without mana, so get out of the story already.

 

Ange will just shoot you in the head if you point a gun at her. Good.

Hmm.

We're almost at the finale now. We just need to see Alektra beat down Salia to break through her hero worship and resentments over being passed over. We also need to see the reconciliation between Chris and Rosalie. Hilda has Ange on the side, so she doesn't factor there. And Ange needs to kill Embryo's real body. Also, I hope the rescue of Aura lets me know whether that big dragon is male or female. I'm still not clear on that score. Seems like Aura should be male, because the dragon men turned into such big guys, but Aura was the first dragon person, so who knows how things worked at the beginning.

 

I also expect one more Crotch Ange joke, just because Tusk has her underwear in his pocket. Can't let that situation go to waste.
