Madan no Ou to Vanadis - Episode 12
Tigre and Princess Regin enter Artesium to prove her royal ties only to find Thenardier already there. Tigre suffers a loss close to home during a cave in.
Heh.
Oh man, Bertrand. Don't go strewing death flags all over the floor of Tigre's tent! Titta has to clean that up.
This episode had to front load all the funny sexy moments because we were going to a dark place near the end, figuratively and literally. Good thing nobody was claustrophobic, although some people might be after that cave in.
It appears all the candidates who are in the running to share Tigre's bed now know not to wake him up with blood lust.
Well, unless they're into that kind of thing. It makes for legend making, though. No assassin can reach him while he sleeps because killing intent will wake him. I noticed that Tigre went right for the boobs. Must be those talented hands of an archer...
The eyecatch card in the middle made it explicit, but I think we could have guessed that opportune collapse of the grotto was no accident. I'm sure Ganelon was just waiting for both Thenardier and Tigre to be in the same cavern to trigger whatever trap he had designed.
Thenardier is no weakling like his son. He was able to go toe-to-toe with Elen as long as she wasn't using her dragon magic. His sword and armor must be enchanted like Roland's Durandal.

I hope nothing important was above Tigre's power shot, because he made a huge hole in the ground.
Geh.
We've got another booby groping monster over here.
I guess Tigre paid Elen back for always checking on Lim's "growth."
Poor Lim. Her breasts always seem to take the brunt of her misfortune.
Hmm.
Thenardier knew that Prince Regnas was Princess Regin. Probably Ganelon too, since he set a very specific trap for that grotto.
Tigre wasn't the only one to suffer a significant loss. Thenardier's executive officer Steed knew how to use his armor to block Tigre's arrows. No mean feat in all that darkness too. Tigre may be emotionally at a loss with Bertrand's death, but Thenardier still has an army to run, so he may be taking the worse end of the tradeoff militarily.
Regin's chance at proving her lineage is gone, so I'm not sure what Tigre's forces can do to return her to the capital. Perhaps Steed's body in the location of the grotto can prove to third parties that Thenardier was there too, trying to stop her. Ganelon is off running around somewhere, but happy to let Thenardier and Tigre soften their forces up against each other. The important question is whether Tigre can overcome his grief to decide on their next course of action before Thenardier regroups. He's the hero of this story. Of course he can.
