Madan no Ou to Vanadis - Episode 9
With Elen dealing with Elizaveta on behalf of Sasha, Tigre enlists the aid of Mira against the incoming invasion force of the Pirate Barbarossa.
Heh.
We get it. Sasha was supposed to be the strongest of the War Maidens, enough so that even Mira and Elen didn't want to be scolded by her. Does this mean Sofy is now the strongest?Mira still didn't say why she was down there on the southern border, even after all the negotiations for helping Tigre oppose Barbarossa.
They didn't talk about it, so we don't know why Sasha is bedridden. Apparently her fire-based dragon gear daggers hope she'll get better.
Elizaveta drew Elen away from Tigre, under a pretty weak pretense, but I guess the forces of Ganelon or Thenardier who asked her to do so weren't counting on a random expedition by Mira to replace Elen.
Big sister Sasha knows when some discipline needs to be dished out.
Sasha's battle uniform has an almost functionless skirt.
Business in the back, party up front?
Good little sisters make up after quarreling. Looks like this relationship hasn't changed at all since the flashback.
Leave it to super sexy Elizaveta to wield the lighting based cat o' nine tails. She must be on equal footing with Elen and Mira if Elen can push her back.
Super Elen will come to save the dayyyyy!
Elen talked to Sasha about Tigre as if he were a new car. "I'll let you borrow him!" But the way she bragged about him, it sounded more like a new boyfriend. Even Lim remembers what his "help" feels like.
I like this Barbarossa guy. The way he grunted and gave running commentary to the envoy showed a good sense of humor.
Hmm.
That little blonde girl Tigre rescued is still a mystery, even if we do know her name. Regin appears to know how to watch out for poisoned food, hinting that she's royalty. The daughter of the mad king, perhaps? We also got a few more clues on how dragon gear works. Sasha called her twin daggers "children," as if they were still attached to her, instead of letting her go and choosing a new, healthier Vanadis. I wonder if Sasha was poisoned. I'm only connecting Sasha's condition to how Regin was careful of her food because they appeared in the same episode, and they were both opponents of the slavery based kingdom.
Next time, Mira and Tigre have one shot to "dissuade" Barbarossa from coming any further into the Brune . It just started snowing too. That looks like a good sign for Mira's and Tigre's combined forces.
