Tigre convinces Ludmila to remain neutral, but after the King of Brune declares him a traitor, he must face Roland and his order of knights.

We've actually got more Japanese puns in ryuuseigun (りゅうせいぐん), because gun is a homophone for army, and ryuusei is a homophone for prosperity. Maybe this is why Lim is embarrassed to say the name, because it also sounds like the Army of Silver Prosperity, like they're a mercenary gang. Which, of course, they are in the eyes of their own country Zhcted. Also, ryuu is a homophone for dragon, which fits with Elen's weapon. This makes it seem like Elen is choosing a name like she's a chuunibyou sufferer, which is another source of embarrassment for Lim.

That assassin was going straight for Ludmila. Was she the target in their first encounter where Lim got bit by a snake? We saw that Thenardier was the one who hired that group, so was he making sure that Zhcted would be drawn into a greater conflict if a War Maiden was killed at the hands of another in the employ of a Brunish lord? Medieval intrigue, I like it.

Tigre saved Ludmila's life, so guess what that means.



That means Tigre adds to his harem and Elen gets jealous.

Busty big sister Sofy made quite the entrance and impression on Tigre.

Hee. Lunie the pet dragon doesn't like being smother by Sofy's ... by Sofy. And Elen has another Vanadis to be jealous of.



Sofy traveled to meet Elen to deliver a message that Tigre had been declared a traitor by the King. Nobody saw the King say this, but there are all the proper documents and seals. Plus, we heard the King was ill too. No wonder Thenardier and Ganelon are choosing this time to go after Alsace. They want to stir things up and in the confusion go after the weakened King's throne. Warfare is just another tool of diplomacy and politics.

Sofy also lets Elen know that the other War Maidens are staying out of the conflict, for now.



We got all their names now too. Elizabeta, Valentina, Olga, and Sasha. All very Slavic names. Sasha, supposedly sick and bedridden, shows up in the opening credits aboard a large sailing vessel. What's that about?

Because Tigre has been declared a traitor, that means the Knightly Orders have to follow the King and kill him if they find him. Roland is now the Big Bad, and he's strong enough to make Elen bounce to and fro.



Elen is tempted to use her dragon power against a regular person, but is saved from crossing that line by the extreme archery of Tigre. He hurt himself in the process, so maybe that sacrificial attitude moved Sofy to hold back Roland and his knights. Sofy carries a Buddhist monk staff (shakujou), so what kind of attack will she carry out?

Roland's eyebrows are super masculine. I guess we're supposed to believe he's a man's man.

Hmm.

Tigre has collected a few allies already, and an army that likes to argue over the shapes of clouds, so I'm not sure what his being a traitor will do for their political calculations. They seem to be still strongly on his side, mainly due to their opposition to Thenardier and Ganelon. They can see that they're vying for the throne, and using Alsace as their pretense to flex their muscles and weaken the outside competition. One or the other has an inside man next to the compromised King, either forging the documents, or acting like Iago or Wormtongue and have undue influence over him.

Tigre is hurt pretty bad, so maybe Sofy has some healing power to go with her monk style weaponry. This Roland guy looks pretty honorable too, so I'm curious to see how he and perhaps all the other orders of knights will get nullified by Tigre's faction. Protecting his little piece of land is turning into open rebellion, civil war, and perhaps his own path to throne.

Things are happening really quickly. Ludmila was neutralized in the first third of this episode, and we're already concentrating on Sofy and Roland. I hope we get a whole episode of oppai oneesan, or I'm going to be really disappointed.
