Amira went through many outfits to find the right one. I think she looks good in boy shorts.
Amira did just fall to Earth at this point in the story, so not only has she just been wearing what she took from some would-be rapists, but she hasn't even learned what human food and drink tastes like.
If only everyone's first taste of wine was so happy.
