The strange new creatures terrorizing the capital unite the Jaegers and Night Raid in taking them down. Esdeath reunites with Tatsumi.

Susanoo bro fisting Tatsumi about picking up chicks. Gotta love this show.

I thought the way Akame said Tatsumi's name was cute, but it has nowhere near the effect as when Esdeath says it. Young sadist maiden in love has it bad for our Tatsumi.

Kurome seems to have found a new role in comforting Wave for missing his chances at showing what a nice guy he is. Boris doesn't need his concern about people judging him by his appearance, because he's got an awesome wife and little girl.

I think Wave is a bad chess player too.



He's already castled, yet Kurome is about to get another queen with her pawn.

While Wave keeps getting his chances to show off his nice guy side blocked, Tatsumi has his chances to show off his cool guy side ruined by his own awkwardness.



Saying a cool thing about being on the side of the people, but doing it with his fly unzipped: that's so Tatsumi. Bonus points for getting Akame to inspect your crotch area from now on.

Run may be doing his own devious thing in getting close to Esdeath, but even he is impressed by how paranoid and dark she can be. It's not enough to think that those weird creatures might have escaped from Dr. Stylish's labs; you also have to consider they were let out deliberately by someone else. With that hooded guy somehow controlling them, or herding them around, we see that Esdeath is on the right track.

Mai waifu Leone is very talented in many ways, but tactically she doesn't have the goods.



Um, we won't be getting in the way of the capital's soldiers hunting those things too because we're assassins. We'll hunt at night. Ooooh. This is why Najenda is the Boss.

Geh.

We've seen a little bit of Najenda in flashbacks as a General Najenda fighting alongside Esdeath, but how about from the perspective of a young boy who fell in love with her at first sight?



Just because Lubbock is in love with her, and has followed her as a soldier all this time, it doesn't mean he's going to stop peeping on naked girls in the bath. This is this, and that is that.

Seeing Esdeath Mai Mistress go all gooey because she found Tatsumi again had me squeeing out loud.



Esdeath still has her rough side though. Those danger beasts need to stop interrupting her Tatsumi Time.



Tatsumi Time is precious! Stay dead already!

Hmm.

This was quite the transitional episode. The reset with new Night Raid members is just about done. New hidden headquarters, new jokes about Tatsumi, and we're back to getting to know the other members. The Jaegers are included with this too, as we get to see what a nice guy Boris is, even though he has done horrible things in the service of the empire. We just need to see Najenda's story and Chelsea's backstory and how she lost her former team members, and we're about ready for somebody to die again.

Next episode, we have Tatsumi's and Esdeath's glorious reunion. On a deserted island no less! Just how will Esdeath contain herself? In much less clothing is my bet.
