The 10-Tails shakes off Sasuke's and Naruto's attack. Kakashi defeats Obito. Madara takes control of Obito and forces him to become the 10-Tails' Jinchuuriki.

Sai knows all about fake smiles, which is a neat callback to the very first season of Naruto Shippuuden when Sai first joined Naruto and Sasuke's team. So, he knows that even with how much Sakura cares for Sasuke, she doesn't trust his intentions.

Madara is such a troll! He's just there waiting for Hashirama to come at him for real, and then a very injured Obito retreats from Kakashi, and Madara decides to go for the end-game, which he could have done at any moment.

Obito finally learned what Madara wanted his help for when he rescued him from being crushed all those years ago. Not just the Sage's resurrection jutsu, but to be his backup Jinchuuriki for the 10-Tails. Originally, Madara was supposed to be fully resurrected and become the Jinchuuriki himself, but then Obito hedged his own bets and brought him back with Kabuto's improved reanimation jutsu. Madara had a right to be sitting there just bored. All his plans were well within his expectations.

After all the pain Akatsuki and Obito did to the village, Naruto, and himself, this is one of the most satisfying hits Kakashi has ever delivered.

The Black Zetsu was always with Obito, something Madara called "His Will." Madara made use of him at just the right moment. Plans within plans within plans. With somebody being the new incarnation of the Sage of the Six Paths, the Infinite Dream jutsu can finally be cast. Of course, that means it's a good time to end the season and have some filler. This war is far from over, and we still need to see the 5 Kages join the fight for real.

One Madara was enough to defeat them, and the circumstances now are even tougher. However, they are not alone either, and their action was supposed to be just a delaying tactic to get Naruto's clones to all sections of the battle field to identify the White Zetsu infiltrators. I wonder how Grandpa Hashirama is going to greet his little "Tsuna." She's not so little anymore.
